Lecture Title: Paul Boening – Early Electret Researcher in Shanghai and Wroclaw
CV: He graduated Solid State Technology from the Electronics Faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology in 1973. Since that time associated with the Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WrUT). He achieved his PhD in 1979 (Seebec'k effect in dielectrics), habilitation (DSc) (Charge & charge decay investigation in solid dielectrics) in 2004, and a titular professor level (Measurement methods in electrostatics) in 2014. In years 2005-2019 v-Director and Director of the IEE - WrUT. He has lectures on Physics of Dielectrics, Applied Electrostatics, High Voltage Eng. and others. He is a Member of the Electrical Materials Committee of the Polish Academy of Science (Chair - in years 2011-14) and a member of many local and international scientific committees of conferences and symposia, standardizing and other scientific and technical organizations. Since the beginning of his research (i.e. since 1973) engaged in investigation of antistatic and electret materials and since 1991 - in investigation of non-uniform electret structures exhibiting piezo-electric properties. He is an author/co-author over 200 publications, 11 patents and over 200 non-published works and expertise.
