Carmo Lança obtained a B.Sc. degree in Physics from Universidade de Lisboa and in 2003 a Ph.D. degree in Physics Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 1990 she joined the Nova FCT at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Materials Science Department. Her main scientific interest is dielectric material, specifically biomaterials (electrical polarization and its influence on bone and teeth replacement), electrical aging of polymers and dielectric and electrical properties of cork.
